We know you flagged that fraud is a concern for you, so this is a quick update to tell you how we’re addressing concerns and supporting residents. There has been a report of a male claiming to be a police officer to obtain financial information from his victim by telephone. He asked if she had her bank card in her possession. He alleged that he was investigating a fraud investigation. He then said he would transfer her to 999 to obtain her personal details in order to resolve alleged fraud. She became suspicious and ended the call. We consider fraud to be a serious crime and will put the time in to tackle it however we can. In the meantime, there are ways to keep yourself safe.
